Return to Forever is the eighteenth studio album by German rock band Scorpions. It was released on February 20, 2015 in Europe and on February 23 in North America.

In January 2012. Scorpions band members went into the recording studio with producers Mikael “Nord” Andersson and Martin Hansen to work on dozens of unfinished songs from the Blackout, Love at First Sting, Savage Amusementand Crazy World sessions. New parts were added to existing recordings, especially lyrics, as most of the songs either didn’t have any or were rudimentary. They also planned to give the songs a fresh feel, however, as Matthias Jabsexplained: “We’re doing it the way we are recording albums today, but the basic ideas, the riffs, the feel, the way they were written and arranged, we try to keep as much from the old recordings as possible. Thirty years later no one would come up with these ideas we came up with when we were younger, so we want to keep that spirit in there.”
