Lyrics
1. Burn That Candle Down
Hard time living here is out of clear
Times and reasons where you never had
Ain’t no shame in starting up right now
Smoke confuses burn that candle down
Stupefy and keep flavor fading out
Then burn that candle down
I saw the night moon rising, and not exactly how
Then burn that candle down
Mister hailing I will slap your wrist
Here’s that chance to check me out your list
There’s no time for thinking twice right now
Smoke confuses burn that candle down
Stupefy and keep flavor fading out
Then burn that candle down
I saw the night moon rising, and not exactly how
Then burn that candle down
2. Every Road Leads Home To You
I got your picture on my phone
Your voice in my head
I’m lying here alone
Restless in some faraway bed
The stars will falling down
And I’m half a world away
I’m just trying to close the distance
To feel each breath you take
When the bridge is burning
And I’m loosing my faith
And I’m trying to find my way towards the truth
Like a wild arrow flying
And I’m blindly running
From everything I thought I knew
And every road leads home to you,
Home to you
So you got me to believe
Made me turn on a dime
The writing on the wall
Right in front of me
Every song, every rhyme
But I don’t need a thousand words
I need you save in my arms
I’ll be standing strong
I’ll keep holding on
When life tries tearing us apart
When the bridge is burning
And I’m loosing my faith
And I’m trying to find my way towards ther truth
Like a wild arrow flying
And I’m blinndly running
From everything I thought I knew
No I ain’t regretting
Just how lost I’m getting
Or the red lights I’ve been blowing through
My foot will find the pedal
As I’m counting the lines
Every road leads home to you
Every road leads home to you
Home,
Roads still leads me home to you
Sometimes I dont see the signs
The Headlights make me blind
The Roads still leads me home to you
[Solo]
When the bridge is burning
And I’m loosing my faith
And I’m trying to find my way towards the truth
Like a wild arrow flying
And I’m blindly running
Everything I tought I knew
No I ain’t regretting
Just how lost I’m getting
Or the red lights I’ve been blowing through
My foot will find the pedal
As I’m counting the lines
Every road leads home to you
Every road leads home to you
Home to you
Home to you
Home to you
Every road leads home to you
Home to you
Every road
Leads home to you
Every road leads home to you
3. Taking A Chance On The Wind
Lately it’s been raining, but today is my lucky day
The faith I put in my pocket is the only thing that didn’t get washed away
If I was making confession – well this is where I’d start
Every heartache was a blessing, every knockdown was a spark
Every knockdown was a spark, yes it is
[Chorus:]
I’m tearing down all my troubles
Setting fire to all my sins
Another day’s dawn and I’m moving it on again
I’m doubling down on freedom
Everything I believe in
I’m raising my flag and taking a chance on the wind
Yeah! Raising my flag and taking a chance on the wind
If time tought me a lesson, it’s don’t dwell on the past
‘Cause the bad things fade and the good things..
The good things are built to last
When love comes easy like a fairy tale make believe
When you’re banned all and you’re ready to fall
There’s only one remedy
Yeah, only one remedy, yes it is
[Chorus:]
I’m tearing down all my troubles
Setting fire to all my sins
Another day’s dawn and I’m moving it on again
I’m doubling down on freedom
Everything I believe in
I’m raising my flag and taking a chance on the wind
Yeah! I’m raising my flag and taking a chance on the wind
On the fault lines time keeps on burning
It’s a long time and you keep on loving
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
[Solo]
[Chorus:]
I’m tearing down all my troubles
Setting fire to all my sins
It’s been away too long and I’m moving it on again
I’m doubling down on freedom
Everything I believe in
I’m raising my flag and taking a chance on the wind
Yeah! I’m raising my flag and taking a chance… yeah, yeah… on the wind
4. Nowadays
Another day comes you get up and go
You’re ready to do your best,
Your busting you ass,
But no one seems impressed,
Ain’t nothing wrong you’re just getting along
And you think you’re doing all right,
But you’re walking right into a wrecking ball called life
[Chorus:]
Nowadays, trying to figure out who you want to be
Trying to tell your friends from your enemies
That’s the way it plays nowadays
Nowadays, trying to make some sense about the state of things,
Hoping better times are what tomorrow brings,
We’re just all insane, nowadays
Politicians, bad ambitions,
Walking wall street dead,
Feeding scripted lines to talking heads
Spinning their wheels they can’t keep up,
Things are moving way to fast.
Time’s running out
And it’s slipping through their grasp
Yeah! Yeaah!
[Chorus]
Hey hey hey
Nowadays
Hey hey hey yey
Nowadays
[Solo]
[Chorus]
Hey hey hey
Nowadays
Hey hey hey yey
Nowadays
Hey hey hey
Nowadays
Hey hey hey yey
Nowadays
5. Weathering The Storm
Glad to hear you’re weathering the storm
It’s been mean and freezing messing up your life
In the fun house the mirrors make you ugly
After dark you’re just a shadow in the night
It takes a little time to come out clean
You got smoke and genies pouring out your lamp
One wish left to conjure up redemption
Hitch your collar up it’s getting cold and damp
[Chorus:]
You can’t cave into the thunder and the rain
You just shed your skin and start back up again
Shelter, food and sex is all we need
To weather out the storm in times like these
Beat the odds and climb back in the ring
You’ve been bruised and battered beaten by the fight
The Ferris wheels frozen at high noon
Some of us stay stranded our whole life
Chorus:]
You can’t cave into the thunder and the rain
You just shed your skin and start back up again
Shelter, food and sex is all we need
To weather out the storm in times like these
As long as you’ve seen something being born
As long as you keep something living warm
You’ll know the feeling soon enough I’m sure
The feeling of weathering the storm
Everywhere it smells like revolution
They’re burning tires and breaking down our doors
Tearing down the same old institutions
Investing in the same old tired wars
Glad to hear you’re weathering the storm
It’s been mean and freezing messing up your life
[Chorus:]
The feeling of weathering the storm
6. Sugar Daddy
I got the 14th text on the phone,
You’re in a desperate situation,
‘Cause you don’t wanna be alone,
Hey, you’re turnin’ me off,
Better hear what I say,
I said I won’t be the part of your broken-hearted cliche,
(Na na na na, na na na)
Don’t need a gipsy to read your cards,
The answer ain’t in the stars,
So stop spendin’ my money baby,
Don’t waste your time tryin’ to melt my heart,
There ain’t a shot in the dark,
You’re only eatin’ my honey baby,
I could be your sugar daddy, hey,
(Na na na na, na na na)
Do yourself a favour baby,
Don’t give a shit about me.
Stop sendin’ me the words to your favorite songs,
As if they gonna come true and it just might prove you’re wrong,
You got your hand in my jar, one foot out the door,
I’m always one step away from closin’ my candy store,
(Na na na na, na na na)
Don’t need a gipsy to read your cards,
The answer ain’t in the stars,
So stop spendin’ my money baby,
Don’t waste your time tryin’ to melt my heart,
There ain’t a shot in the dark,
You’re only eatin’ my honey baby,
(Na na na na, na na na)
Na na na, I could be your sugar daddy, hey,
(Na na na na, na na na)
Do yourself a favour baby,
Don’t give a shit about me
About me
If you wanna use me, I could sure use you,
I’ll let you do what you want if I could do what I wanna do,
What I wanna do, what I wanna do.
I could be your sugar daddy hey,
That’s what I want,
To be your sugar daddy, hey,
Whooo whooo,
Be your sugar daddy, hey,
To be your sugar daddy, hey.
7. I’ll Always Walk Beside You
Sometimes we live inside the madness
We have to make it through the sadness,
What’s worse, a blessing or a curse,
It’s gonna take a little practice
We gotta keep on keepin’ at this
Live and learn, can’t let us crash and burn
When you feel alone
I will sing you home
I’ll be there,
To help you make it through
When your tears are gone
And we will go on, I swear,
There’s nothing I won’t do
I’ll always walk beside you
Beside you
Sometimes there’s nothing to believe in,
You end up searching for a reason,
Breath in, and just believe in me
Many roads lead through the darkness
Feeling hopeless, feeling heartless
Reach out, I’ll give you all you need.
When you feel alone
I will sing you home
I’ll be there,
To help you make it through
When your tears are gone
And we will go on, I swear,
There’s nothing I won’t do
I’ll always walk beside you
I, I’ll never get ahead of us
I, I will never leave you behind,
I’ll always walk, always walk beside you
When you feel alone
I will sing you home
I’ll be there,
To help you make it through
When your tears are gone
And we will go on, I swear,
There’s nothing I won’t do
I’ll always walk beside you
Beside you,
Always walk beside you
Beside you,
Always walk beside you
Beside you,
I will walk
Beside you
8. Seven Years Gone
Another change of season
Slipping through my life
I can’t recall believing
That I’d make it here alive
Steady wind is blowing
The clouds don’t look the same
You can’t deny a thunder
When you’re living through the rain
Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, move on
The 7 years gone
7 years gone
Hung up cold and reeling
Wounded deep inside
Can’t find a road to heal in
When you’re blinded by your pride
The hour glass is broken
Sand is slipping through your hands
By your chasing what’s been storing
Changes making, making other plans
Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, all gone
Times are changed, times that went too fast
Tearing moments from the past
While today’s singing yesterday’s songs
You wake up, move on
The 7 years gone
Time, time,
Time, time ticking,
Time, time ticking away
That’s life
It’s all about living
Taking it day by day
Blind, blind, leave it behind
Singing a different song
One day, you’re waking up
You’re seven years
Seven years gone
Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow that burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, move on
Times have changed, times that were to last
Tearing moments from the past
While today’s singing yesterday’s songs
Growing up, holding on
The 7 years gone
7 years gone
7 years gone
7 years gone
9. Learnin’ How To Fly With A Broken Wing
Hey! how did I wake up in this place
A missing person lost without a trace
Guess I got fooled by a famous face
I, I was locked up deep inside
It was so dark I couldn’t see the sky
My truth was frightned just to see the light
[Chorus:]
And I’m runnin’ like a dog with a busted leash
Burnin’ like the tires when the lights turn green
Hey, I’m walkin’ wounded but I still believe
Learnin’ how to fly with a broken wing
I, I tought I could have it all
A broken parachute would break my fall
I tempted fate and then I hit the wall
I left scattered ashes in my wake
And there was nothing left that I could save
So I just dug my past in early grave
I’m tearing down what’s left of my reflection,
A private anarchy
[Chorus]
I took the wheel
I’m changing my direction
Breaking my tailspin
Kicked down the back door
Just left the busted hinges
What I’ve been living in
[Solo]
[Chorus 2x]
Learnin’ how to fly with a broken wing
[Solo till end]
10. You Can Only Get So High
Hard time wake up this morning
Closed the blinds so I can see
First light came without a warning
Hit the sunrise, get the daylight it’s out of me
Down seven times alone for breakfast
Chasing down where’s last night cloudy memory
Empty bottle preach the gospel
Another shot ain’t coming close to saving me
Close to saving me
You can only get so high
Then you got a come down
Twisted in the clouds, just like a kite
Back in just despair up in the sky
Flying in the freehold
Before you know it is your last call
I’ll take one more drink and two packs of love
Driving out the demons in the sky
You can only get so high
You can only get so high
Life was one long after party
My welcome was too long of a stay
The guitar sings the same old story
But they leave it out, got the bills of getting paid
You keep yourself 10 second chances
So I ain’t quitting I’m just leaving for a while
Ended like some many bad romances
One more picture left before you say goodbye
You can only get so high
Then you got a come down
Twisted in the clouds, just like a kite
Back in just despair up in the sky
Flying in the freehold
Before you know it is your last call
I’ll take one more drink and two packs of love
Driving out the demons in the sky
You can only get so high
You can only get so high
Endless limitation that I keep on gettin’ back
I guess I stopped by sitting down with me, myself and I
I think it’s best to leave my desperation to desire
You can only get so high
Then you got to come down
Twisted in the clouds, just like a kite
Back in despair up in the sky
Flying in the freehold
Before you know it is your last call
I’ll take one more drink and two packs of love
You can only get so high
Till your bottle melt a breakdown
You can only hurt so many times
Before the truth falls from the lie
Flying in the freehold
Just before you hit the last one
They only get one more chance and one last goodbye
It took me a lifetime to realize
You can only get so high
You can only get so high
Then you got a come down
11. World
World, you open up your eyes
Another song we write
And you begin to tell your story
World, what would you tell us first
When you find the words
Are you afraid, that we might listen
Seems we’re always trying to slow you down
But you just keep on turning round and round
World, there’s nowhere we can hide
We’re as fragile as our pride
Shrug your shoulders, and cities crumble
World, you taught us to believe
Gave us everything we need
Why do we feel, it’s all been stolen
Have we always been laugh your breath
Each life, one moment of your destiny
World, we’ve had ten million years
You’ve shed our hopes and fears
Is it too late, to say we’re sorry
World, you’ve been there as a friend
Can we please try again
A world, we don’t want you to end
12. Backseat Driver
The door was open it was quarter to five
When you walked into my house
With a look on your face like you own the place
When you sat down on the couch
You tried to rearrange the furniture, rearrange my life
Change what I’m all about
You grabbed my remote, like I didn’t have a vote,
Took the keys and locked me out
I don’t care what you say
I don’t care how you feel
I ain’t never gonna be who you want me to be,
Ain’t giving up the wheel
There’s no denying,
Baby I’m done with your backseat driving
Say what you wanna say
It really don’t matter to me, no
I’m tired of trying
Walking away from satisfying you
Do what you wanna do
It really don’t matter to me
Don’t really matter to me
Living life wasn’t such a fight,
Until you came along,
I never thought I was always right,
But with you I’m always wrong,
I wish that you could you only hear,
The way it’s coming out of you mouth,
You just a-talk talk talk you keep spitting it out
But you don’t know what you’re talking about
I don’t care what you say,
I’m only here for the ride
I ain’t never gonna be who you want me to be,
And I never gonna try
There’s no denying,
Baby I’m done with your backseat driving
Say what you wanna say
It really don’t matter to me, no
I’m tired of trying
Walking away from satisfying you
Do what you wanna do
It really don’t matter to me
Don’t really matter to me
[Solo]
I don’t care what you say
I don’t care how you feel
I ain’t never gonna be who you want me to be,
Ain’t giving up the wheel
There’s no denying,
Baby I’m done with your backseat driving
Say what you wanna say
It really don’t matter to me, no
I’m tired of trying
Walking away from satisfying you
Do what you wanna do
It really don’t matter to me, no
There’s no denying,
Baby I’m done with your backseat driving
Say what you wanna say
It really don’t matter to me, no
I’m tired of trying
Walking away from satisfying you
Do what you wanna do
It really don’t matter to me
Don’t really matter to me
Don’t really matter
Don’t really matter to me
Backseat driver
Backseat driver
Backseat driver
Backseat driver
Backseat driver
Come on!
